Learning of God; sharing his love
Welcome to our cluster of Methodist Chapels across the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border we hope that you find among us places where strangers become friends and where God can be encountered. We are far from perfect but we believe in God’s love for all, seeking to know God closer and learn how to live in ways that show God’s transforming love.
Tenbury Methodist Church, Wyson Chapel and Orleton Chapel have been grouped into a cluster, working together within the larger Shropshire & Marches Circuit of Methodist Churches, see individual pages for church information.

Pioneering Library Project hits the papers
The launch of the Orleton & Brimfield Library Link in late october was visited by the Hereford Times as well as Jon Chedgzoy from Herefordfordshire Library Services who worked with us in the settiing up of the scheme to keep people in local communities linked in with services following the demise of the Mobile Library vans.
Our first outing was very popular with over 40 books loaned out, and the advantages of a longer stay that the van could manage and alongside the relaxed atmosphere of the local cuppa suggest that this will be a successful venture.
Whilst a number of communities have been exploring options in their own localities we were the first to 'go live' because our model is a simple, low tech, low cost approach. Piggybacking on the exisiting use of the village hall we only have the mileage of moving the book stock around - even in a technical age solutions don't have to use rocket science!

Orleton & Brimfield Community Library LinkResponding to the withdrawal of the mobile library service across Herefordshire various communities are finding new ways of local access to library facilities.
With the support of the Herefordshire Library Services and the existing coffee mornings at village halls the Orleton & Brimfield community Library Link has been born. Each month a selection of books will be collected by a volunteer from, Leominister library - packed for us by the library staff, and shaped by preferences as we let them know our interests. They will then be taken to the village hall cuppas as below. Brimfield have Talent to Share? Do you have a skill that you could teach to others? Can you offer a Friday night or two? We are looking for something a bit different to offer the young people who come to youth club. The plan is to have activities over the year that those interested can join in with. Dear friends,
Easter is a very different celebration to Christmas, instead of the generally happy mood of Christmas, Easter has space for a wide range of emotions. There are times of celebration, but also times of pain and loss, there is anger in the Temple when Jesus overthrows the tables of cheating stall holders, there is confusion and fear amongst the disciples.
Easter much more than any of the other festivals of the church has a space for all of us whatever mood or situation we are in. Holy Week is a rollarcoaster ride, and even with the good news of Easter Sunday - of resurrection and new life - there is pain and confusion about what this all means, what does the future hold?
As Easter arrives this year, and in the Easter season that follows it, I pray that we can all know ourselves not to be alone with our emotions but find the Risen Jesus somehow in the midst of our locked rooms offering peace and hope.
Helen
